About Steel City Vintage

Steel City Vintage Watches was founded by Niko & Ari Sitaras. We have been in the watch scene since 2015. 

  

Niko's Story: Ever since I can remember I’ve  always been drawn to watches and the hobby of collecting. It started around 9 or 10 years old when I can distinctly remember asking my  grandmother for a Rolex for Christmas. Fast forward 20+ years and nothing has changed. Mechanical objects continue to fascinate me. There is just something about winding a mechanical watch or turning over an old engine. It pulls at my heart strings. 

 

  

  

Ari's Story: Collecting is something I always associated with my childhood. At first, it was sitting around with my dad and brother sorting through old sports memorabilia. That eventually switched to collecting and trading Pokémon and Magic the Gathering cards. Watch collecting was sort of a natural progression for me as I grew up and my interests changed, but the same core principals always apply... No matter what you collect its all about condition and rarity. That's what gets me up in the morning. 

    

What we hope to achieve here is creating a virtual space, similar to a brick and mortar vintage shop, where it's all about the watches. So kick your feet up, pour yourself a glass of whiskey, light up that cigar and enjoy the stories in the descriptions.

The Curation Process: 
The collection you will see have been carefully curated, personally, by us because we believe they are interesting and beautiful pieces. We achieve this through the network we have built over the last 8 years. Watches come directly from original owners, renowned private collections, auction houses and our local community.

Authenticity Guaranteed:
When it comes to vintage the value of the watch - outside of sentimental- lies in its condition and originality. Each watch we offer here on our site has been carefully taken apart and examined in order to ensure that each and every part is original and authentic. Any deviation from original is explicitly disclosed in our detailed descriptions.
