     This Gruen precision autowind is a testament to the quality and styling of the famous Gruen “bumpers” as they are known. This one wears the “Switzerland” on the bottom of the dial suggesting it dates to before the Gruen family sold the company in 1953. The stadium bezel, long chamfered lugs and bright red syringe second hand add to the distinctive style of this particular bumper.
