Vintage Omega Constellation 168.004 - Pie pan w/ rose gold hour markers

     This vintage Omega Constellation reference 168.004 is an interesting watch. The case was designed in a way that the crown is almost hidden behind the watches bezel giving it a unique look and presence on the wrist. There were many dial configurations throughout the production of this reference, one of which was a pie pan dial. This is important to note as the actual diameter of the dial makes this the largest vintage pie pan that Omega ever manufactured. The cherry on top? Applied, rose gold baton hour markers with matching dauphine hands - uncommon to say the least.

CASE: The 34mm stainless steel case is in great condition. The case is very crisp and the factory original bevels on all four lugs remain. The case presents with light wear that is even throughout. The crystal and tension ring will be replaced prior to shipment.

DIAL: We have a flawless, original pie pan dial. The dial appears to be free of any noticeable staining, patina, scratches, blemishes or otherwise imperfections. It is rare in that it features applied, baton, rose gold hour markers and dauphine hands.  The 168.004 in terms of dial diameter was the biggest pie man ever manufactured. 

MOVEMENT:  Omega automatic caliber 561 chronometer certified.  Automatic self winding. 24 jewels, 19800 frequency, 50hr power reserve. The watch was serviced in 09/2023. The watch was placed on a timegrapher which illustrated that the watch is gaining 1 second per day in a single position with an amplitude of 246.  

BRACELET:  Comes on a brand new, pictured TUNs leather strap complete with quick release spring bars.
