Some in the watch community demarcate the ending of vintage watches during the introduction of acrylic crystals. Still others point to the transition between tritium and luminova as the end of the gold era. Some would say this is "neo-vintage" while others balk at the term. Whatever your preference, I think we can all agree that the root-beer 16713 is wonderful watch. Like first growth of the vintage variety, his example seems to only get better with age. It's glossy, sunburst, metallic brown dial is full of depth. It's tritium lume has taken on a wonderful patina and its faded insert is full of charm. CASE: Very, very strong case that is in excellent preserved condition. Perhaps only polished lightly in the past as the chamfers on the lugs and the crown guards are still present and can be appreciated. The original brushed finish on the anterior portion of all four lugs are also present.  The insert has some light wear and has faded to a beautiful champagne and burgundy color giving it nice vintage charm. 

DIAL: The glossy sunburst brown dial is in excellent condition. Relatively pristine, there is one very small patch of patina directly below the officially certified text. The lume on the dial has aged to take on a nice creamy hue while the hands have aged just one shade lighter and are original to the watch  

MOVEMENT:  Automatic caliber 3185. Watch winds, sets and runs. Keeps good time. Service history is unknown. 

BRACELET: Original, two-tone oyster bracelet. 12 links, 4 screws. Stamped with 1991 code. Shows average stretch for its age. 

ACCESSORIES: Comes with an authentic Rolex branded service pouch.
