Seiko 6139-6022
A chronograph with a pulsation dial was presumably commissioned for individuals who worked in the medical field and were required to monitor heart rates of the patients they were treating. A useful feature in a time before smartphones were created. This watch, rightfully so, was called the daytona killer. It doesn't hurt that chronographs with pulsation dials are on the rise either.Â
Case: The previously polished case is in good shape. Doesn’t appear to be overly polished. It does show some wear but not overly so considering the age.Â
Â
Dial: The gray slate sunburst dial is in good condition. The lume appears to be mostly intact and has aged to off-white eggshell color. The “0” on “30” on the pulsation scale appears to be missing. There are some superficial scratches on the crystal that presumably can be buffed out with polywatch.Â
Â
Movement: The watch is running and keeping time in my possession. The chronograph function starts, stops and resets smoothly. The service history is unknown and as such it is recommended that a service be done prior to daily wear.Â
Â
Bracelet: Comes on the pictured strap.Â
