CASE: The case was manufactured by F. Baumgartner. F. Baumgartner is a well known and prestigious case maker known for making cases for the likes of Patek including some of their early Elipses and the infamous 2526. It measures 26mm x 35mm and is constructed entirely of solid 18kt yellow gold. The case appears to have remained unpolished with vertical brushing and preserved hallmarks on the side of the case lugs. The case presents wear commensurate with its age. It is completed by the watches original crown. 

DIAL:  An original V&C engraved enamel dial. The dial has patinated to wonderful beige. It features alternating even Arabic and beaded hour markers. It is completed by the watches original pencil handset. 

MOVEMENT: Vacheron manually wound caliber 458. Vacheron's finishing prowess that they had come to be known for by the mid twentieth century is on full display as we see a myriad of finishing techniques including cotes de Genève, pearlage, anglage and black polishing. The watch just returned from service and carries a one year warranty dated from 05/2026.
