Vacheron & Constantin 4073 - Pink Gold w/ Full Arabic Numerals

CASE: The 34mm 18kt pink gold case is in great shape. The case appears to have been ever so lightly polished in the past. The lugs remain very, very thick with strong lines which is very important for this reference. The hallmark on the midcase is very distinct, deep and well defined. The case is 2x signed and matching. The back of the case has its original brushed finish and both the midcase and lugs display strong remnants as well. The crown is original. 

DIAL:  A beautiful and rare dial for the reference 4073. We have a dial that is a silver two tone dial. What makes it rare is the full Arabic hour numerals - only the second we are selling to date and the first on a 4073. The maisons signature "Vacheron & Constantin Geneve", the subsidiary seconds markers and the open railroad minute track were done in engraved enamel. What is particular interesting is on this example the accent in Geneve and Swiss below the subsecond dial were also done in enamel which is not typically the case. The dial presents with very minor imperfections. Please note that photos are taken on a 50mm macro lens which magnify imperfections. On the wrist most are hardly noticeable. 

MOVEMENT: Vacheron manually wound caliber 453. This is the base version of this caliber which matches the year of the watches production and correctly does not have a swan neck regulator. Vacheron's finishing prowess that they had come to be known for by the mid twentieth century is on full display as we see a myriad of finishing techniques including cotes de Genève, pearlage, anglage and black polishing. The watch will come serviced with a one year warranty dated from 12/2025.
