Vacheron & Constantin 4073 - Pink Gold w/ Rare Dial.

CASE: The 34mm 18kt pink gold case is in good shape. The case has been polished in the past. The midcase appears to have taken most of the polishing; however, the side hallmark is still present. The lugs remain thick with strong lines which is very important for this reference. The inside of the lugs present with a little more wear presumably from an bracelet being put on the watch at some point in time. The case is 2x signed and matching. The crown is original and has a slight ding on it. 

DIAL:  A beautiful and rare dial for the reference 4073. We have a dial that features pink gold faceted applied hour markers, signature pencil hands also in pink gold and a full railroad minute track. The maisons signature "Vacheron & Constantin Geneve", the subsidiary seconds markers and outer minute track were done in engraved enamel. The dial presents with very minor imperfections - most notably the 55 minute markers engraved enamel is missing. Please note that photos are taken on a 50mm macro lens which magnify imperfections. On the wrist most are hardly noticeable. 

MOVEMENT: Vacheron manually wound caliber 453. Vacheron's finishing prowess that they had come to be known for by the mid twentieth century is on full display as we see a myriad of finishing techniques including cotes de Genève, pearlage, anglage and black polishing. The service history is unknown. The watch can be serviced for $350 plus any parts that may be needed. If serviced the watch will come with a one year mechanical warranty dated from completion of service.
