Vacheron & Constantin 4073 - Pink Gold w/ Two Tone Silver Enamel Dial

CASE: The 34mm 18kt pink gold case is in good shape. The case appears to have been  polished in the past. The lugs remain thick with good lines which is very important for this reference. The hallmark on the midcase is distinct, deep and well defined as is the hallmark on the back of one of the lugs. 

DIAL:  A beautiful, two tone silver dial for the reference 4073. The maisons signature "Vacheron & Constantin Geneve", the subsidiary seconds markers and the open railroad minute track were done in engraved enamel. The dial appears to be uncleaned - an anomaly for vintage Vacheron enamel dials. The dial presents with some bubbling to the superficial lacquer layer. The integrity of the enamel signature remains strong. 

MOVEMENT: Vacheron manually wound caliber 453. This is the base version of this caliber which matches the year of the watches production and correctly does not have a swan neck regulator. Vacheron's finishing prowess that they had come to be known for by the mid twentieth century is on full display as we see a myriad of finishing techniques including cotes de Genève, pearlage, anglage and black polishing. The service history is unknown. The watch was placed on a timegrapher which illustrated that it is keeping time within 17 seconds per day and has an amplitude of 245. The watch can be serviced for $400 plus parts should any be necessary. If serviced the watch will come with a one year mechanical warranty.
