Vacheron & Constantin 4217 - Guilloche Dial

CASE: The 34mm solid 18kt yellow gold case is in good shape. The case has been polished lightly in the past. The case has taken on a very charming rosy tarnish in certain areas of the case. The hallmarks are well defined and deep with crisp lines. The midcase illustrates the maisons original satin finish. Additionally, the caseback also illustrates the original brushed finish. The case is 2x signed and matching. The crown is original.

DIAL:  The original engraved enamel dial is in good shape. The integrity of the maisons signature "Vacheron & Constantin Geneve" is strong with very minor degradation. The original silver dial has taken on a beautiful warm cream patina. The dial features a pearled minute track which for the most part is well preserved. It sports an alternating even Arabic numeral and dagger hour indices. 

MOVEMENT: Vacheron manually wound caliber 454. Vacheron's finishing prowess that they had come to be known for by the mid twentieth century is on full display as we see a myriad of finishing techniques including cotes de Genève, pearlage, anglage and black polishing.  The watch has just returned from service and is warrantied for one year dated from 11/2025. 

BRACELET:  We have paired this exceptional example of a 4217with our "Patimeni" strap - a handmade, tan, pebbled calfskin strap handcrafted by a single artisan in the heart of Italy. The strap is machine stitched, hand pressed and hand painted. Italy has developed a reputation for their premium leather goods now for decades. Rest assured this strap is of the highest quality.
