Lightening strikes twice! This watch is powered by a special movement  - one of which we wrote in another one of our listings here. Essentially, this movement is 1 of 100,000 special movements produced by Omega that was even commemorated in one of there advertisements in the 1960s (picture attached). This example has a lot of vintage charm. Its solid gold case has developed a rosy patina and sports an uncommon linen crosshair dial.

ABOUT THIS WATCH

Omega Constellation

REFERENCE: 168.004

YEAR: 1966

SERIAL: 244xxxxx

CASE: The 35mm solid 18kt yellow gold case is in great shape. There are areas that have developed a beautiful rosy patina. There is light wear on the case commensurate with age. The medallion on the back is in great shape and the lines on all four lugs are strong. It is completed by the original, signed, flat foot omega crown. Crystal is a replacement.

DIAL:  An original, rather uncommon linen crosshair dial. The watch is completed by black painted baton hour markers with matching original dauphine hands. There is some light standing that can be seen on the dial between the 10 and 12 o'clock hour markers.

MOVEMENT:   Omega automatic caliber 561, 24 jewels, 50hr power reserve, 19800bph. The watch winds crispy, sets and runs strong. The service history is unknown.  Part of the legendary 100,000. See above.
